About The Club
Established in 2016, Diablo Valley Baseball Club is dedicated to building championship caliber players. We focus on both the physical and mental tools needed to excel on and off the playing field. We emphasize player skill development and building strong bonds among teammates. We offer youth players (9u - 14u) high level competition, professional coaching and a chance to play at the premier travel ball events in Northern California.
President and Co-Founder
Mike has been working in the competitive baseball scene since 2011. He started with the Pleasant Hill Hawks organization as a coach and was quickly moved in to the Director of Baseball Operations role because of his hard work and passion for the game of baseball. After a few years in that role he decided it was time to move on and try and reach a more competitive side of the game. This is when he and his counter part, Brian Hufford, co-founded the Diablo Valley Baseball Club. Since that transition, under Mike's leadership, DVBC has grown to one of the premier clubs in the Bay Area. With invites to USA baseball and Az Fall Classic events the club has become nationally known.
"We want to serve this community and give local kids an opportunity to play a high level of baseball. We want to teach them not only baseball but valuable life skills through our process."

Kevin was a four-year varsity starting catcher at Las Lomas High School (2004-07), and his success there led to his 45th round draft selection by the Florida Marlins in the 2007 MLB Draft. Kevin then elected to play collegiately at Diablo Valley College for Head Coach Mike Neu, and Assistant Coaches Andy Tarpley and Kyle Gross. He was a member of the 2009 DVC team that reached the Final Four of the California State Championship, but sat out most of that season after having the first of two surgeries on his throwing shoulder. After that, he transferred to UC Santa Barbara (NCAA Div. 1; Big West) where he practiced and travelled with the team as their bullpen catcher in 2011, while rehabbing from his second shoulder surgery.
Injuries put an end to Kevin's playing career, but also enabled him to begin his coaching career at a young age. He joined the College Park High School coaching staff (2013-15), where they won the NCS Division 2 Championship in 2014, and the NCS Division 1 Championship in 2015. In 2016, he joined the Northgate High School coaching staff as an assistant coach, under Head Coach Tim Jochner. In Kevin's first three seasons at Northgate, they won two league titles (co-champs with CP in 2018), and were the NCS Division 2 runner ups in 2016. Kevin took over as Head Coach at Northgate High School after Coach Jochner retired following the 2018 season.
Assistant Coach / OF and Hitting Instructor
Coach Aivazian is an East Bay native growing up playing in local organizations all through Men's senior league with the Concord Rockies in the mid 90's. He has spent the past decade coaching youth and High School baseball. In 2015 Joe spent a season as the Hitting coach for Las Lomas HS. He followed that up with a two year stint as a Varsity assistant working with outfielders and hitters at Berean Christian HS. Since 2017 he has held that same position with the College Park HS Varsity team. Joe is a fantastic motivator of players and has a knack for getting the very best out of the athletes he trains. We are extremely lucky to have him working with our 13u and 14u teams as an assistant coach/hitting instructor.
